Harry Potter and his motivation to stay on the Qudditch team
Shit, I'm in the Triwizard Tournament and the first task will be to clean my apartment before my landlord comes back on December 1st. "Hermione? Do you want to go to the library and I will ask Hagrid if he has any ideas." - "Harry, you have to solve the task on your own!", said Hermione. "Then I will ask Mary Poppins if you don't want to help me, Hermione!", said Harry bitter. "Harry, you're crazy! Mary Poppins doesn't really exist! She's just a character from a fairy tale! You can read about it in the history of Hogwarts!", said Hermione. "Oh yeah?", answered Harry. "And who helped me clean my room last time? Mary Poppins exists! No matter what Cornelius Fudge says!" - "But that doesn't change the fact that you have to solve the task on your own, Harry!' - "Why are we friends again?", said Harry. Hermione snorted and strutted away. Harry didn't care. He would have liked more help from her. Hopefully Ron would be more willing to help him. But Ron was still with Snape, probably cleaning some old trophies or armor.
During dinner in the Great Hall, Harry looked for Ron. Where was he? "Is Ron still with Snape?" Hermione asked, sitting down next to Harry. "I don't know," Harry said and sighed. He didn't want to imagine what Snape was doing to Ron.
When Ron still didn't show up after dinner, Harry got a bad feeling. "You go upstairs, Hermione, I will come soon." - "I come with you if you're planning on going to Snape!"
They knocked on Snape's office door. Snape opened the door. "Potter, Granger, what do you want? Who? Oh yes, Weasley. How am I supposed to know where the idiot is? I released him from his detention hours ago. I suggest you look for him at dinner."
Suddenly someone called Harry's name behind them. Harry turned around. Angelina strode angrily towards him. Mud dripped from her cloak. Oliver Wood stood behind her. Snape grinned maliciously and disappeared back into his office. The door to Snape's office slammed shut, as if to start Angelina's outburst of anger:
"Harry, that was the last time you missed training because of some kind of detention! Have you seen Ron? I have a bone to pick with him too! I flew Oliver in especially so he could give you both a juicy motivational speech! Oliver? There's Harry! What are you waiting for? Tell him what willpower means! No mercy! You know what he did! And now I'll leave the talking to you, sorry."
Wood turned uncertainly to Harry. "She gave me 10 Galleons for this, Harry, you must forgive me. But what happened today is unfortunately typical of you and not an exception. Anyone who wants to stay in the team-" "Yes, very good Oliver, that's exactly how I imagined it!" Angelina interrupted him. Oliver continued: "What the different is between me and you, Harry, is Quidditch. I love Quidditch! More than my own mother. While you hate it. You despise the sport, you miss training, you are obviously not one of us. I hope so much that I am wrong, Harry. Because a true seeker ALWAYS finds a way to get to Quidditch training. Angelina? I think he's had enough. Now let's get some extra training outside! Harry, are you coming with us? Are you one of us now or not?" Wood and Angelina both stared at Harry expectantly, each with their broom in hand. "To be honest, we are looking for Ron," Harry replied. "Have you seen him?" - "It was obvious that you would make up an excuse!", hissed Angelina. "If you find him, you can send him to me straight away! And heaven forbid you don't come to training on time next time! Then I might seriously think about maybe bringing another Seeker onto the team!"
"It's true!", Hermione spoke up. "Ron didn't turn up again after Snape's detention." - "I didn't see him," said Angelina. "But like I said, if you find him, send him to me! Then he will want to do detention with Snape again!"
